I am a 38 year old husband in a happy marriage living in the Pacific Northwest. No kids, but I work with kids so I can relate to some of the joys and pains that come with them. We have 3 cats. I may share pictures of them upon request.

What are my joys? Reading. I usually have 2-3 books going at the same time. It's a mix of history, fiction, current events, sports, and psychology for the most part. I throw in a comic book every now and then. Always happy to hear about what you are reading and get new recommendations. I keep a list of new books to check out.

Baseball. I root for the Mariners because of where I live, but the Braves have my heart because of where I grew up. Shout out to the TBS Superstation. If you know, you know. But seriously, it's an outdoor sport that is super chill but still has tons of athleticism and strategy.

Music. The Civil Wars, Stevie Wonder, George Jones, Howling Wolf, Tyler Childers, and Chris Stapleton just to start. Tell me about your playlists and I will share mine. A good lyric is the way to my heart. A crazy guitar solo will make me smile every time.

What do I have to offer? Emotional availability and support. I am a grown up, empathetic adult. I do my best to connect with and understand other people. I am a good listener. I am happy to celebrate your successes and be a balm during your failures.

Attention during work hours and after hours. I am free to message during most of the day, nights, and weekends. Obviously, I have a life so specific events will interrupt our time, but I have never had anyone complain I wasn't responsive enough.

Intelligence I am well read and well rounded. I know how to write. I also know when and how to apologize when I make mistakes. I am smart enough to understand you have a life and responsibilities you have to tend to as well.

I am 5'7 and 120 pounds with a full head of black hair and either a beard or mustache. I am happy to share a picture early on to establish attraction.

What do I want? I want a combination of the mundane and the exciting. I want to be able to chat about our lives like old friends on a Sunday afternoon at times and to feel the rush of seeing my phone light up with your name on Saturday night at other times. I want a spark and a positive connection for both of us. I want to give someone my attention and value them and receive their attention and be valued in return. I have other apps if you prefer. This one can be a little fussy at times.. I am open to phone calls and video calls in time.

Physically, pale brunettes are my kryptonite, but I am open to all body types and hair color and ethnicities. 30 preferred. I might accept a little less than that if you are an old soul. I do not care what time zone you are in.
