Hi Reddit, I'm looking for my honey - a woman that's sweet and sticks to me. I am a romantic, sometimes I think the last one in Southern California. I really like women who are intelligent and independent and can appreciate a man that appreciates them and their special qualities. About me: I'm basically a grown up gifted kid - was a slacker in school, but now I'm a tech consultant with a master's degree and top tier resume who writes about sex and relationships for fun. And I'm interested in anything and everything (sometimes a problem but usually an opportunity) and I've also traveled all over the world and can talk to anyone about anything. While I am very motivated, I also value my rest & recovery time. I spend plenty of time relaxed and low-key, cooking at home, watching quality TV, relaxing with friends, going for drives around this beautiful area, etc. It would be great to find someone who is also motivated about what's important to them but can still shift gears the same way.

If I sound perfect, well, no, not really. There are some parts of my life that are working out really well, and other pieces I'm still working on, just like everyone else. And I think that's fine - we all are here on this earth to complement each other, to share what we're good at and get help with the rest. I'd love to find someone else with a similar mindset - who doesn't feel diminished if I'm better at something than they are, or superior if they're better than me at something else, and who is comfortable both learning and teaching.

Here's the stuff that doesn't work for me and why:

• Out of area - Hard to date someone 2,000 miles away
• Hookups / Nothing serious right now - Why spend time with people I don't care about and who don't care about me?
• Smoking / Drugs / Self-destructive behavior - Life is already challenging enough LOL
• Online activist types - I think we've all had enough of these people haha
• Tradwife / SB / "take care of me" - No judgement but that's just not what I'm looking for
