Hello/Bonjour/Guten tag/Hola and namaste!

I'm a 20M Canadian university student who's looking to make some new (preferably local) female friends (18 ) in the longterm. the reason for the post is several conversations that inevitably end in ghosting. I'm really looking for someone I can text on a regular basis, and just get to know better. If it leads to a relationship, cool! If not, also cool! There's no expectations on that side of things for me, I'm open to everything!

It would be awesome to make some friends locally since I just moved here and will be here for 8 months (feel free to ask me more about why I'm in Birmingham in the DM's!), so it would be cool to maybe meet some of you, if you're comfortable of course.

I love making jokes and am generally pretty laid back. I'm totally open to chatting here or any other platforms once we get to know each other a bit better (although I admit reddit chat can be a handful).

A few cool things about me!

- I'll be travelling all over the states this summer as part of an internship!

- I love motorsports, formula one and Indycar mostly, and I'm an avid go karter!

- I love animals and rode horses (english style) for about 5 years before covid

- I like classical music, and I've been playing the piano and violin for more than 10 years!

- I love sports and being active, I played a variety of sports throughout high school, mainly cricket, hockey, volleyball and soccer.

- I love tech and all things cutting edge, a lot of my research is in AI (applied in Cancer), so I love talking about the new coolest things!

- I love travelling and doing adventurous things like skydiving, scuba diving, surfing etc.

- I'm a certified SCUBA rescue diver, a certified Yoga teacher, and a researcher at a couple of places around Canada and the states!

- I speak a bunch of languages! mainly French and English, since I grew up speaking those

My only requests are that you are looking to chat in the longterm (i.e won't randomly ghost/delete your account), and if you're LGBT that's cool, but I'm not, so please be respectful of that!
