I had a bummer day this New Year's Eve, so I am looking to put it behind me and have a chill night by eating a little comfort food and watching some comfort shows.

I'm reminded of New Years when I was younger, and I was always jealous of the people who got to kiss at midnight. And this year I feel...romantically wistful.

I'm looking to take it slow at first, if we click I'm open to long-term but let's start casually!

I used to think of myself as someone who hated small talk and preferred deep conversations, then my opinion changed as I started to gravitate more towards simple discussions, and now I'm somewhere in the middle between wanting "real talk" or chit-chat.

Some details about my life are:

I am an extremely amateur musician, specifically the tuba, piano, and bass guitar.

When I'm feeling blue and need an escape from life I like to eat ice cream while watching anime.

I used to work at my local library however now I am currently job hunting.

For fun, I usually either play video games or smoke marijuana while listening to music.

I am a (former but soon-to-be continuing) student at a local college where I got my Associates degree in the Scienes and Arts.

I am single, straight, and cisgendered.

I'm out of things to say! Because I'm really bad at introducing myself! So I'll just list all the art and entertainment that I like in the hope that something might make a good icebreaker.

Music:

I am a big fan of progressive rock and jazz fusion, I mostly listen to the classics and some of the new stuff too. I also enjoy comedy music, classical music, and to a lesser degree classic 70s and 80s pop/rock, worldbeat, reggae, funk, and rap.

YouTube:

I watch A WHOLE LOT of YouTube.

I like Tekking101, and occasionally Game Grumps, Murphy Napier, A Fox in Space, Stated Clearly, Alt-Shift-X, etc. I've been interested in finding some new channels to watch so feel free to suggest any.

TV Shows:

The Dragon Prince, Bob's Burgers, House of the Dragon, What We Do in the Shadows, Netflix's She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Avatar (The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra), the Sharpe series, Into the Badlands, Futurama, Disenchantment, Bojack Horseman, Planet Earth, Last Week Tonight, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, etc.

Games:

Recently I've been playing Super Mario Wonder, but there are TONS of games I want to play but just don't have time.

Other games I like are: Apex Legends, almost all Mario games, Smash Bros, Donkey Kong Country (1 and Tropical Freeze), Chrono Trigger, Pikmin (2 and 3, no spoilers for 4 please), Earthbound, Halo (almost all of them), CoD (zombies only), Minecraft, Shogun 2, Rome 1 and 2, Cuphead (haven't played the DLC yet), FTL, Warcraft 3

Manga and Anime:

The Ice Guy And His Cool Female Colleague, Spy x Family, Mobile Suit Gundam (the original, Zeta, CCA, Unicorn, IBO), Hunter x Hunter (I'm not past chapter 361 yet), Dragonball (I haven't started on DBSuper manga so no spoilers past the anime please), One Piece, Naruto, Fairy Tail, Cowboy Bebop, Full Metal Alchemist, Planetes, etc.
