I won't lie, it’s preeeetty tedious typing out all of these R4R posts. Yet the process, white exhausting, allows for a few additional moments of introspection that I’m coming to appreciate. What am I looking for? Did my last post do a good job of conveying what I want? Were the responses along the lines of what I’d expect? All these questions, and more, starting to swirl in my mind until I settle on an approach for the next attempt.

…and that’s how we both ended up here today.

I can’t say that what I’m looking for is complicated or hard to explain. Put simply: I’m looking for a partner that’s just as interested in learning who I am, as I am in learning about them. Someone that values and appreciates the nuances of communication. I’m looking for a person that’s intelligent, ambitious, and engaging. Toss in a few dashes of empathy, and I think that’s a good foundation. There are obviously other things that I’m looking for but, with that foundation, most things are negotiable. I’m fairly open minded, and I love experiencing new ways of thought.

Now I bet you’ll want to know a bit about me…

I’m single, emotionally available, decently educated, childless, and I think Cinnabon is overrated. I enjoy reading, serving the community, playing video games, and binge-watching random shows from my childhood. Appreciation for dad jokes is 100% a love language, and I’ve yet to meet a cat that was cooler than a dog (not to say it doesn’t exist). I’m not in a rush and would prefer getting to know someone before rushing into anything too serious.
