Secular American Jew who hates occupation (uncritical Zionists need not apply), looking for companionship in the always lonely holiday season.
I recently moved back to New Haven after a couple of years away and am looking to meet someone I can build an actual future with, though Iām open to friendship and other sorts of connections, too. Also, my apartment is too big/expensive, so I clearly need a partner to move in and split expenses. But I'll settle for someone to grab Chinese food with on Christmas. Also spending chunks of late December in NYC (where I'm from), so open to connections there.
Oh, I'm overeducated (PhD in a social science from an Ivy; oy vey), tall (over 6'2"), around 230 pounds (but in the process of taking a few pounds off), with long brown hair (usually up), a short salt and pepper beard, brown eyes, a prominent nose, and a large package, though this is only relevant should we hit it off...
I enjoy cannabis too much, audiobooks (grad school ruined me for reading), walks in nature, British detective shows, cartoons like Rick and Morty and Archer, hard sci fi, and being a human being. I love dogs but mine passed away over the summer after a long battle with cancer. I like gardening but do not currently have a garden, and am into DIY stuff but do not currently have a house. A bit adrift but seeking real connections.
No men. No pros. No exceptions.
No hangups about race. Chemistry is fickle and I'm open to finding it in different forms and places.
