Hello,
I'm located in the US, looking to chat with SINGLE guys. I'm pointing this out because a married guy was once cheeky enough to point out to me that I didn't specify that I was looking for single guys. If you're not in an open relationship or a polyamorous one, please do not respond.
From chatting with people here, it's rare that I talk to anyone for more than a week at best, but I still enjoy hearing about people's lives and interests. I'm open to conversations that last a day or maybe longer and whatever happens, happens. I've found that there are many people to have conversations with, but not as many who actually become friends. Either way, it's an interesting experience.
I also ask that you be emotionally mature and have realistic expectations, given that this is all online. You must be articulate, well-educated, and well-spoken.
This post is only flagged NSFW to indicate that I'm open to it, but it's not expected nor should it be a foregone conclusion that things will go that way. It really depends on the vibe.
Just a heads up: I get a lot of responses to my posts. This isn't a brag, just an FYI that I may not be able to respond to you ASAP, but I always read all my responses and respond to those I'm interested in chatting with.
A few things about me:
- I'm introverted, quirky, and bookish. The first place I wanted to go after lockdown was the library.
- My interests (besides reading) include writing, mental health, personal growth, learning new things, psychology, Buddhist philosophy and teachings, meditation/mindfulness.
- I save way too many articles and never actually sit down and read them. I really should fix that.
- Intelligence is my biggest turn-on.
- I enjoyed all the MCU movies all the way up to Endgame, and then I think they just lost their steam. I'm thinking of re-watching everything again, going by the story timeline and not release date.
- Shows I've enjoyed recently: Our Flag Means Death, The Witcher (I'm almost done with the first season), and always, always, Taskmaster UK
- I love British comedy and I watch many British comedy shows besides TM.
- Current books I'm reading:
- The State of Affairs (Esther Perel)
- Boundless Heart: The Buddha's Path of Kindness, Compassion, Joy, and Equanimity (Christina Feldman)
- Norwegian Wood (Haruki Murakami) - This is my first Murakami read.
Please respond with the following (I will NOT respond if all you give me is your age and location or just a "hey")
- Age and Location
- Are you single?
- What's the last book you've read / what are you reading now?
- When you were a kid, what did you dream of being? How close or how far are you today from that dream? Do you think you're better off now, or do you still wish you could be what you wanted to be as a kid?
