Taking some time to reflect, lately I’ve been wondering why I continue posting on R4Rs. Despite interacting with several different individuals for various lengths of time, the results of the exchanges are often eerily similar. The initial weeding through low-effort, non-engaging introductions to transitioning towards simple conversations that, hopefully, evolve into a more complex exchange; allowing both parties to truly be comfortable being who they are.
From this point onward, it’s just a matter of how long the things can last before:
- Someone gets bored.
- The conversations become stale.
- Life gets in the way (happens).
- Someone messes up (also happens).
Then the cycle continues.
Honestly, while the whole process is exasperating – I’m not fond of playing 21 Questions every few months – it’s also entertaining. Exposing myself to different ways of thoughts, hearing different accents, observing the various paths people take through life, appreciating the nuance of communication…I enjoy it all. I highly doubt that any interaction stemming from this post will lead to something serious and long-term, but I’m openminded. If there’s a vibe, if there’s a flow, if there’s consideration, empathy, and reciprocation? I’m 100% invested. I just ask one thing: let’s skip the games.
For now, I’m only looking for an online companion. Phone buddies. Online partners. Friends with digital benefits. I’m not planning on driving across the state or flying internationally to meet you. We won’t get along if this is what you’re looking for.
While I have patience in abundance, my life is busy, my career is stressful, and my tolerance for nonsense is at an all-time low. I’m looking for someone to aid in easing the burdens and expectations of the world. Someone that’s also open for me doing the same for her. Simple, right?
I’ll end this with a few facts about myself:
- I am single and emotionally available.
- I do not have children.
- I’m teaching myself the piano.
- Forcing myself to become fluent in Spanish.
- Dogs > Cats.
- I love reading.
- I love music (Jazz, R&B, Hip-Hop, Classical, …, Country)
- Turn ons: intellect, baking, vibing to music, and someone that laughs at my jokes >:(.
- My fears: heights, being paralyzed, losing sight of my dreams, and finding a suspicious stand of hair in my food during an office potluck.
Send me a message if any of this aligns with what you’re looking for.
