A quick preface:
While I am not necessarily opposed to long distance relationships, or with starting online, I would really like to be able to see my person, in person, more often than not. I want to be able to hug and cuddle with them, and be around them physically. So if we aren't very close geographically, please be ok with visiting back and forth regularly.
So, I work at a call center from 1-10pm, but due to that schedule I'm able to work home a majority of the time. It's really nice, being able to get housework done, laundry, lawn work, cook, or just pass the time watching YouTube, talking to people on discord, or playing a game. I got my own place semi-recently, which is nice, I really like the calm and the not-having to worry about bothering anyone or being bothered, but it really exacerbates the feeling lonely.
I have friends I hang out with most weekends, and I have some communities online that I'm a part of, but I really want someone I can be "close" to, someone I can talk to about what I'm worried about, or complain about work, or talk to about the trips I want to take and the projects I want to complete. Someone I can feel safe being vulnerable with, and who would be supportive and encouraging for my endeavors. And I want to be that for someone, too.
To have that one person that I wake up to, and go to sleep with. That makes me happy to come home to and that I look forward to talking to and being with.
My hobbies mostly include playing or streaming games, talking to friends and people online about said games, watching YouTube and anime (and sometimes TV on streaming services, but I'm really bad at finding things on my own, so it's usually stuff I watch with my parents). I am also interested in home improvement/DIY, travel and personal finance, learning about economics and science and technology. I also want to start going out more, for walks or to see some local sights and attractions. I also want to bake and cook more; I hate taking the time and effort to cook for just myself, I've always much more enjoyed investing that when I'm cooking for someone else, especially cooking with someone else.
If that all sounds good to you, feel free to shoot a dm on reddit. Discord is my primary communication platform for text and calls, but I don't mind chatting on reddit to start, and if you're interested in meeting that is also an option I'm open to!
