Ahoy there!

Having written more structured posts about what I'm looking for, I have opted fora range of bullet points that on re-reading, converge into the same, but have some extra quirk factor injected in.

• I have spent the equivalent of growing 2 pineapples working at a cutting edge. It's good fun, including type 2 fun, although the last 9 months have been a rollercoaster, with some more loop de loops in store. My career has me progressing being an Isaac (Dead Space) to being a Sheppard (Mass Effect), though I don't work in the space sector.
• I would eventually like to have a house with space to WFH from, along with space for a family, plus hosting a flock of chickens and guard goose and guard goat. I'm saving the guard llama (with lasers) for when I eventually upgrade to a castle. In the meanwhile I have gotten quite good at living in tiny house configuration.
• It's likely I'll be staying in Edinburgh, Scotland for the mid-term, since it ties to what I do. I anticipate there would be a degree of flexibility in the future, but that's something to work on with my partner.
• All my previous relationships have had a degree of long-distance in them (within the UK), so I guess that makes me an LDR specialist. Ideally I'd avoid this this time round, but I can flex for the right person, especially if there's a plan to come together.
• The last film I properly watched was Redline. Minimal plot, great animation, lots of fast cars, excessive hair-dos, and women with impossibly large eyes and thin waists. Very fun, especially after a long day. Plus, they were all racing at a cutting edge and living to the adage of "you can always squeeze a bit more out of your engine by pressing that extra button/pulling that extra lever."
• Sci-fi is my go-to. Both in games (I play casually, mostly old games - currently working through Dead Space trilogy, with occassional titanfall 2 for multiplayer), films and books. Some favourites are "Flowers for Algernon" (the end always gets me), Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (the whale scene is great) and "I have no Mouth and I must Scream" (hard reading, but the author paints such a vivid picture).
• I enjoy physical intimacy and sex, but it's only one facet of a person - and I'm here to get to know the whole person. This means I'm not especially into hooking-up - the idea of texting someone "DTF?" is somewhat concerning. This means I won't send you NSFW pics or ask for them - I'd rather we get to the NSFW aspects when meeting in person once we have built some rapport. D/s could be built in as well though am still in the process of learning/exploring.
• Gunship's recently released album, Unicorn, is excellent, though I can't feel helping that all the songs revolve around love yearned for, love lost, forbidden love, or just love. Synthwave (and variants - especially Perturbator) tends to be my go-to music when working, though I also enjoy modern classical, Isosine mashups (Swift-knot, Swift-Khorne are great) and stuff made for/using Warhammer (e.g Legio Symphonica - very niche, I know).
• I very much believe in relationships being equal partnerships where each partner brings something to the table, and that in a relationship, 1 1 = 2.5. I'm looking for a partner who is up for adventures, building things together, sharing interests, but having own interests as well.
• I am quite structured, so if you have a bit of random in you this could work well - provided I'm not overloaded I'd welcome it.
• I class myself as monogamous, and enjoy building up depth with the person I'm spending time with by getting to know them, their drivers and values.
• As an Aspiring Champion of the Dark Gods I regularly pray to them each night. Seems to be working so far - they clearly want me to get past the Aspiring grade.
• For what it's worth, I class as ENFJ, but I feel quite ambiverted. I enjoy talking to people and feel everyone has a story in them. it just needs to be found.
• I have a soft spot for redheads and pierced/tattooed women, but funnily enough haven't dated any. Physically I have a preference for bustier, but slim/fit/curvy women, especially if of the hourglass type.
• I bake bread weekly, and eat a pineapple a week, amongst other things. I am carnivorous though lean more towards pesci- and ovo-tarian. Fermented foods are great - sauerkraut and kefir feature regularly. If Scotland allowed the sale of raw milk I'd be making cheese.
• Haven't traveled as much as I could have - probably due to a combination of work and carbon footprint awareness, but will be resolving this gradually.
• Looking for the Alyx to my Gordon (I have a PhD but no crowbar), the Molly Millions to my Case, the Apple to my Turbokid, Toaster to Techpriest (!), Dagny to Hank - make of this what you will, but if you get the references you're already winning :)
• I paint tiny models and big models, in occassionally quirky ways. Current project is Owen the Orc Shaman, as a break from my Animal Print themed model.
• Would like to have a family eventually - I have this idea that 3 kids would work well since they can travel in a hunting pack configuration, and if one is injured, one can get help whilst the remaining one stands guard. However, I'm obviously not going to be the child-bearer, so the eventual number would be up for debate. I'm also starting to realize that family can be made of both bio-kids and adopted kids.
• Am relatively strong, usually training with kettlebells since they match up well with a tiny house configuration - not been in a gym for 6 years or so. I cycle a heavy, tank-like bike for getting around town. Strength is great for applying into ceilidh dancing, hill-walking and lifting and tumbling partners. I'd like a partner who is active and seeks benefits from exercise/fitness.

• I can be pretty verbose apart from when writing grant applications of 400 words/question.
• This is clearly not a grant application, though the outcomes could be similarly life-changing.
