I feel like somehow I know less now than I ever did. Everything feels different in a very permanent way, and it’s weird. I do know that making friends or finding any real connection is incredibly hard and rare, and not something I’m naturally talented at, but I try again every once in a while.

I’m pretty terrible at describing myself. What are the important need-to-knows? I love music. Listening, watching, attempting to write and play. Animals are better than most people. Laughing and sleeping are some all-time favorite activities. I’m married, no kids. You can vent about yours driving you crazy if that’s your situation.

I’m about an hour outside of New Orleans. Geographically close friends would be cool, but not a requirement. There don’t seem to be that many people around here from this area. It would be good to be close in time zones at least, or active at the same times. I’m up early and in bed pretty early most days, central time.

Work can keep me busy for long streaks, but I have more availability some days. And pretty free in the evenings, if my brain hasn’t turned to mush from staring at reports and spreadsheets all day.

I won’t narrow down much for you, besides saying at this point I think it’s easier to connect with people 30 . Just be real and not a creep. And we probably won’t get along if you’re very conservative, particularly about human rights.
