Hello,
I have been going through a big shakeup in my life recently. For most of my life I have identified as asexual, but this has recently changed. This has been such a shock to me that it has thrown everything about my identity up in the air.
As part of this, I have been trying to figure out whether I am poly. I have wondered this before, but never pursued it for various reasons - namely negative stereotypes of poly straight men I heard from friends, and negative stereotypes of poly brown men I heard. I don’t want to hurt anybody or be a bad person. I also struggle with envy which made me think poly just was not suited for me.
I recently met and dated a poly woman who taught me about compersion. The concept is wonderful and something I want to integrate into my daily life. As well as that, I felt so euphoric being with someone and able to talk openly about the other people we love in our lives. We hope to see each other again, and I have started once more to question more about myself.
Anyone with experience is welcome. If we become friends that would be lovely, too. And if you are a woman and are interested in more than that, we can see where things lead.
Beyond this - I am a soft man, I like pokémon and doing art, and I love hearing people be enthusiastic about the things they love.
