Early 30s college professor/coach occasional writer who is trying to motivate himself to do all the busy adulting-things I need to do before three weeks of travel to Philly and Cali. Weirdly enough, these super busy times in my life (including travel and adventure), I really crave connections and conversations, so, alas, the Reddit personal. (This is me, by the way).
A bit more about me - Bleeding heart Leftist (abortion is healthcare, trans rights are human rights, black lives matter, borders aren’t real, most of us are living on stolen land, aftercare is necessary, no human being is illegal, feminism should be intersectional, pro-disability rights, etc.,), also, super aware of my male privilege and just trying to deconstruct toxic masculinity. I love pop culture, writing, playing video games, etc. I’ve really tried to watch as many movies as possible these past few years, as well as stay up on television shows. One thing I’d love to do is read more…but honestly I also need to write more, lol.
I’m currently watching The Mandalorian and Attack on Titan (as much as one can be watching something that has multiple final parts of final seasons, haha!), excited for Ted Lasso, whatever is coming in terms of super hero movies, and have been slowly catching up on Oscar noms. EEAAO across the board is my fav, but Tar was solid, Top Gun: Maverick is amazing, and not-relatedly, A Man Called Otto was wildly emotional, moreso than I thought it would be.
I’m also super into Horror, saw Scream VI last night, and it was fucking bonkers. Hereditary is still hands down my favorite movie theatre experience.
I am a huge Xbox gamer, but also own a Switch (shoutout to Fire Emblem, hope Pokemon gets their shit together), I eventually want to get a gaming PC. But yeah, currently am playing Wo-Long Fallen Dynasty, Fire Emblem Engage, and am about to tackle the Resident Evil 4 remake demo.
Big fan of phone calls, voice notes, Snapchat streaks if you’re into that. I love good conversations and making people laugh. If you’re into this, send me a selfie and a message!
