Hey there!
I'm trying this again in an attempt to meet some lovely new people! The last few months have been a bit of a whirlwind, and I’ve been left feeling quite solitary at times. I’m looking to change that though, which is hopefully where you come in!
A bit about me!
I'm 27 from the UK and have been working as a software developer for the last 9 years. Whilst I'm passionate about tech, I’m also conscious about it’s dangers / limitations, and think that the humanities are equally, if not more important when using technology to fix societal issues. My main focus recently has been on web accessibility, trying to make the internet more usable for marginalised groups.
📚 I’m a super passionate person, and get a lot of my fulfilment through learning new things and teaching others. My interests fluctuate in intensity, but photography, houseplants, and interior design are the ones that’ve stuck!
I love to read non-fiction too. Mainly on topics such as AI, neuroscience, InfoSec, and cybercrime. (Don’t get me started on these topics, as I’ll speak for hours and you’ll soon regret it!) I'd love to get some more fiction recommendations though!
🖌️ In an attempt to find more creative outlets, I’m also learning about 3D modelling / printing / Architecture Visualisation in my spare time!
☀️ My happy place is when I’m surrounded by plants with a cat on my lap, reading a good book.
All I ask is that you take the time to write a bit about yourself when you message! I will not respond to low-effort messages, as I need something to go off to determine if we’re likely to get on* 😊
Please don't be put off if we don't have much in common. It's always nice meeting people with different interests and experiences!
Thanks for taking the time to read 🙌
