There's a saying in my family that we all live by and remind ourselves of from time to time: "You have not because you ask not." I'm posting on Reddit in the hopes that I finally find my spark that's equally nourishing for my soul as well.
My name's Tyler, and I live in Holland, MI. I'm a slender/average build with brown hair and frame-less glasses. I like building LEGO, going to the movies, collecting vintage CDs, good hygiene, and filling my days with as much laughter, snacks and nature walking that I can. There's more to me than that, but I'll leave that for the DMs. 🙂
So, what exactly am I asking for?
A long-term partner. Not someone who's only interested in being my eventual soulmate when times are good, or shuts down easily with no intention of giving healthy or constructive communication either. I need someone with both a kind heart and a strong one too. One that believes relationships are supposed to have 50/50 contribution, while giving each other complete honesty 100% of the time.
I want someone that wants to sincerely be my best friend as much as a loving companion, where we're both in it to win it, and protect and grow each other's mental health as often as we can. I've been craving meaningful companionship my whole life, and I'm hoping this year will be the one where I get it.
I'm a guy that always gives 110% of himself in every little thing he does, even when it's difficult to do so at times. I'm looking for a partner that shares my love languages of quality time and acts of service, to show me the respect and value I'll always have for them. I realize that for a lot of people, this is a big picture that can be challenging to find and keep, but I don't think it's too big of an ask either. And as the great Dr. Bob Kelso once said, nothing in this world that's worth having comes easy.
So if you're between 24-29 and DDF, don't have kids and live independently, and (preferably) live in the general west side of Michigan, I look forward to finally meeting you. Let's kick off this New Year right for both our sakes. ❤
