Has anyone done it? Were you successful? Any advice?
I'm vaping but was a smoker for 4 years. Been vaping for 2. Was meant to use vaping as a way of quitting but ended up way more addicted to nicotine and vape all day every day. So I've tried to quit in the past. I've tried champix (for 2 weeks as it made me throw up whenever I took the tablet). I've tried zyban and went the full course but wasn't successful. I've tried cold Turkey and I've tried nrt. So the most success I had was nrt. So im using it again. But for the life of me I cannot get rid of the vape. At this stage I don't want to throw it out as I almost know I'm gonna fail and go buy another. Which is where I think going away comes into play. Now I have 2 options. The first is to go to my parents which is a little beachside town with no access to vapes but access to tobacco. Not ideal but it's a free option. The 2nd is to go somewhere and book a cabin where I won't have access to vapes or tobacco but would cost me $200 and a night. Considering I'll be needing to spend 4 or 5 nights away to ensure I'm over the nicotine and hopefully broken old habits and replaced with nrt habits, this could cost me $1000 aud. What are your guys thoughts on this? I've picked up smoking very easily every 3 or 4 months in an attempt to quit the vapes. So this is why I'm hesitant to just go straight to mum and dads as idk if the temptation would be too strong to stop myself from buying tobacco. I also dont remember how I become when quitting so idk if I'll be a pain to live with if I went to my parents. Maybe I could go to mum and dads and get them to hold my wallet so I cannot go and buy smokes. Any thoughts?
