Hello everyone, I’m French and it’s been a month I’ve quit smoking, not really feeling the envy anymore because I thought my arteries were clogged. It’s actually not the case but a disease called Buerger disease, where smaller arteries or veins get clogged. I have a blood blister under my foot, had a tingling pain in my toes, cramp in my calf when walking. Everything was pointing to clogged arteries, but the echodoppler guy told me I have « perfect arteries ». Now I’ve quit for good and don’t feel like going back even if my mother is offering me a cigarette constantly, that I have to push back about 10x/day. Now I know if I want to keep my toes and stay away from gangrene, I should never touch any nicotine products or cannabis ever again. I was curious if someone on this subreddit had this disease, and how it went for them. Sending encouragement to all of you guys, the scare pushed me to stop, but I know how difficult it can be.
