I quit cold turkey just over a week ago. It was easier than I expected, very mild withdrawal symptoms. But I wasn't prepared for what came after that.
Oh my god, everyone stinks. Of sweat, smoke, perfume. I miss when I couldn't smell anything. Public transport is utterly revolting and I can barely stand within a few feet of another person.
At least my mouth has stopped tasting like an ash tray now. But I have to brush my teeth after every meal because the taste lingers for hours and makes me nauseous.
Everyone talked about my sense of taste and smell coming back like it would be a blessing, but the only reason I have to smoke again is to make them go away.
I'm being a little dramatic, all things considered it's going pretty well. I just hope my senses will settle down soon
