Day 7 of my taper and I went from 35-45gpd down to 31 gpd. Been a rough week but days 5 and 6 I easily went down to 28gpd. I woke up today and my bloodshot eyes aren’t as bad, I feel like I got a deeper sleep, and my muscle tension and headache are much better! Added 2,500mg Liposomal Vitamin C spread out into 3 doses and I think it’s making w/d’s more tolerable! I don’t want to go up too much on the vitamin C because I’d rather not be on super high doses for a long time on my slow taper. But I do plan to stick to this vitamin C dose as I go down little bits and then bump it up when I get further down (maybe to 12 gpd or so) or on weeks I make bigger jumps than just 1-2 grams. So yay me! And yay for Vitamin C! A lot of this is just listening to my body. Letting myself feel crappy about 50% of the day, but not so crappy that I’m overdoing it and going back to any dose I was on before. I used to make my morning dose in a cup and set it on my nightstand for the following morning. Instead I try to fall back asleep without a dose if I wake up early. And I make myself get out of bed and move around and make my morning dose before taking it. And keeping my mind busy is helpful. I have chronic illness and did manage to do 20 mins of walking two days last week. But I find binge watching a show is helpful. I’m on season five of 7 seasons of a show already, so I’ll need to find like 5 more shows to binge watch with my taper 😆 I see people on here posting about struggling at 12 gpd or under and tapering off and I get discouraged at times because, holy hell, I’m DOWN to 28gpd!? But I know I’ll get there eventually. Got to be grateful for what I’ve done so far!
