I have been chronically addicted to Kratom for the last 2-3 years. I’ve probably eaten 10 or 15 kilos. Averaging probably 20g a day, however last few months I have been closer to 30 gpd, and it is enhanced Kratom powder (made up of 90% Kratom leaf powder and 10% 50X extract, which contains a high concentration of Mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine.)
Kratom is such a time waster for me. In the beginning it motivated me like a cup of coffee and I enjoyed working on it, but the last 6-12 months it has become like drinking for me. I take it right when I wake up to help me go back to sleep, and then all throughout the day until I go to sleep. It makes me feel less anxious and thus allows me to slack off. I have noticed extreme cognitive impairment too, but I do not know if it is because of the Kratom or from other more sporadic drug use (cocaine being my primary alternate concern).
Reading how many other people struggled with memory, word recall, sentence forming, emotional stoicism, etc and have experienced relief from quitting for good is reassuring.
I just don’t know how to quit. I lose my mind if I go half a day without Kratom. I just finished a half kilo of white enhanced kratom in 11 days… I ordered another kilo of enhanced red today, which I regret, but I do need some to taper.
What can I expect? And do you think my cognitive function will come back. If so, how long till I feel normal again?
Thanks for all your input and support.
