I have done some very basic machine quilting But then I jumped on the TikTok trend and have hand sewn these hexagons from circles and now I’ve started sewing them together

I’m going to make two pencil cases out of them so when the quilt tops are done I will quilt them onto felt to use as the outer fabric for the pencil cases

But I’m not sure what design I should use to quilt to the felt, I was thinking almsot a star on each hexi but I wondered if anyone had any better suggestions I can probably only do straight lines for now!!!

Sorry this is probably worded so badly but I hope you can get what I mean :)
