I write with my right hand, but why is my left side dominant in everything else?

Maybe this is a dumb question, it probably is. My right hand is my dominant hand, but everything else is my left. My left eye is dominant over my right, my nostril (yes that’s a thing), I lead with my left foot, etc. My left side is also my better side js lol. When I was in tae kwon do as a kid they had to keep reminding me to punch with my right and block with my left. Is there a reason for that or is it just one of those “the body is a mystery” things?
