Title. I recently learned someone I went to grade school with came out as transgender, changed her pronouns, name, and started HRT. My initial reaction was envy that she is brave enough to live her best life while I'm over here living a lie. I go to work every day trying to be as cishet as possible in a conservative industry full of homophobes. It's nauseating sometimes.
I've lurked on trans subs for a few months out of morbid curiosity. I'm already in the community. Trans rights have been the center of the GOP's culture war for years now. I figured I should learn more in order to be more supportive. In addition I find the androgynous/NB aesthetic appealing...
I've recently had this itching feeling it's more than just a curiosity. Now I can't deny my reaction to the recent news.
Idk. I can't tell this to anyone else. So here I am venting to you anons....
