Hi All!
My name is Abbey, I am the producer of the Sweet Baby Gay Podcast. I am putting together an episode right now going through and answering the stereotypical questions queer people get asked from those outside of the community, whether that be parents, friends, family members, strangers, and all of that. The point is to create a series that people can listen to to get these answers, because it is not our responsibility as individuals to answer them.
So! What questions would you suggest?
When I was a “baby queer”, a butch looking bi girl at 16, more than a decade and a half ago, I was really impacted by questions random cis male strangers would ask me on the street, like “do you actually like eating pussy?” or when I was with my girlfriend “hey can I watch you two fuck?” I was taken aback and didn’t know what to do in those moments. I wish I could go back in time and help baby queer me respond in a way that supported my dignity and power. Random strangers don’t need to know about our sex lives and none of yo beeswax seems equally appropriate, but today I’d probably say something like hell yes I like eating pussy, don’t you? Also, love your podcast idea 😉
