Not a quant by any means, just a on-and-off hobbyist -- does P/E have any meaning anymore?

I feel that ever since COVID, P/E ratio just became a useless metric. I remember many years ago that the rule of thumb was 10, but now, over 20 is very normal.
Essentially, do you use P/E in your modelling anymore?
