Not going to link it because I don't know how this sub feels about ROMs, but I was always intrigued by yet never gave an honest try of Quake 2 for the PSX. The controls were terrible and felt off even if you remapped them for dual sticks (which the game was not meant for). Well, not only is the fabled CDROMance site back up after all this time, it's back up with some ROM hacks I didn't know existed - namely one for Quake 2 that fixes controls and makes them much better for dual sticks without having to rebind in the emulation settings. All you have to do is change the ingame player settings to "both sticks" and it works. It's still definitely a "we have Quake 2 at home" feeling, but a unique chapter of Quake 2 history I'm finally going to read.
