EDIT: Resolved, thanks to u/_dorimon
Hello all!
I'm having a strange issue with my TS-453D. It's been performing pretty much flawlessly for the two months I've had it. Yesterday, I updated it to the latest firmware, but started to get concerned after it didn't respond for a while after restarting. I plugged in an HDMI cable and keyboard, and found it to be perfectly responsive. I checked the network configuration from the command line menu, and found that Adapter 1 said it was disconnected. I switched over to Adapter 2 and it immediately worked. I did have a virtual switch attached to Adapter 1, but even removing it didn't help, and now that switch is on Adapter 2.
In the UI (Network and Virtual Switch) it shows not connected. I get link lights on both the switch and on the Qnap's port. I unplugged it from the switch, cleared counters, and plugged it back in. It looks like no data is coming in from the ethernet port on the qnap, but traffic is going to it. I imagine that's mostly multicast/broadcast. I also ran wireshark with it plugged into my laptop and got the same result. The only traffic on the interface is outgoing (towards the Qnap). The
Has anyone else experienced this? I have a support ticket open with Qnap, but I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.
