UMC Building Plans [Official]

Post Body

This is just a thread to record the plans of what will be officially included.

Design

Available on Nosirrom's server, though it's not exact. The building will be a cylinder sitting on top of a spawn cardinal road, alternating stonebrick and glass at appropriate levels. There will be 4 smaller tower connected at non-cardinal corners to host embassies.

Center tower: Hollow cylinder, with balconies at each floor and ladders/waterbreak combinations for access to each level. May include quick trapdoor/glitch options on the opposite side. Floating platforms connected to the balconies will host amenities, including enchanting tables, public crafting areas, lounges, and more. Ceiling is undecided.

Embassy towers: Minimum 10 floors. Each floor is 11 blocks tall (including roof/ceiling block) to allow for embassies to add both flooring and ceilings of choice. The outside will have 2 stonebrick blocks, then 8 glass, then 3 stonebrick, 8 glass, and so on up. The extra stonebrick on the walls themselves will allow for moderate "shielding" to make the outside look uniform without the flooring/ceilings being too visible to mess with the look. No ladders/waterbreaks or other access options in the embassy towers, as all floors will be accessible from the center tower. More floors will be added as needed.

Roof area: Once the final number of floors is decided upon, 4 matching platforms will be made in the cardinal directions from the roof. These will host the PVP Arena, Death Spleef, 1v1 Spleef, and 3v3 Spleef. A rail is planned from the center tower basement up to the roof in order for quick access. Each platform will be the same size, regardless of arena size; plan well!

Basement area: A large basement will host 3 map rooms and 2 rails. One rail will go to spawn, the other will go to the roof area arenas. The overworld map will be in the main room, with the Nether and End maps to the sides. Nether and End maps are planned to be 3D maps with a different ratio than the overworld's 1:200 block ratio. Chests with starter items for new players will also be in the basement. The basement will be accessible from multiple open and large staircases that begin just outside the building, breaking to the side of the road from spawn and heading down.

Megaspleef: The megaspleef arena will be built below the basement.

Order of Construction:

  1. Choose a cardinal road and set up base camp (storage, bed, temp. farms).
  2. Get protections while terraforming. (Recommended size: 200x200 to ensure arena towers fit!)
  3. Building plan mapped out on level ground.
  4. Dig out basement area (map rooms) to move base camp and to get raw materials for the building.
  5. Construct permanent storage area below map room.
  6. Construct center tower and embassy towers in tandem, with center floor first, then the corresponding embassy towers. (Stone before glass.)
  7. Add in ladders/waterbreaks and balconies as the building progresses.
  8. Add in center platforms after towers are completed.
  9. Take surveys of cities and independents who desire embassies. If more floors will be needed, add them. Minimum of 2 extra floors suggested.
  10. Add Arena Platforms at roof level.
  11. Add conference room at highest of center tower.
  12. Add courthouse at second-highest level of center tower.
  13. Build Roof Arenas
  14. Megaspleef arena below map rooms.

Misc. Items to be built whenever:
- Map Rooms
- Rails
- Amenity platforms in center building.
- Permanent farms. (LOCATION NOT DECIDED: sides of building perpendicular to cardinal road?)
