I'm not getting results that make sense, so it's probably me, not the API. But I've been hacking at this one for a while, so I'm okay getting made fun of a little bit if it gets me over the hump.
Summary: I'm not getting keys I expect when I call the API.
Example: Simple call like https://api.pushshift.io/reddit/comment/search?author=DrKC9N&size=50&subreddit=Reformed&metadata=true
I don't get back the mod_removed
and user_removed
keys like I expect based on the documentation. I also tried calling with mod_removed=true
and get the same set of results, none of which are actually mod-removed.
Thoughts: I added metadata=true
because I was curious, and I get API version 3.0
in response. Is that the issue? How can I call 4.0 which appears to support what I'm looking for? Was the API reverted somehow, or should I be going to beta.pushshift.io or something like that which actually exists?
