Pushshift has received 372 removal requests from people for the year 2019. The top reasons for removal requests are:

1) Personal privacy concerns / GDPR "right to be forgotten" requests

2) Averting legal issues (a comment or post related to a crime)

3) Previous pornographic submissions

4) User was being stalked and banned in other subreddits due to previous comments and submissions

5) Direct DMCA requests.

Pushshift has received 6 direct DMCA requests so far. All DMCA requests were handled as quickly as possible (usually within 48 hours). If you want to request that your content be removed, please e-mail me or DM me on Reddit. You do not need to jump directly to filing a DMCA notice! DMCA notices are time consuming to deal with and can cause other issues such as a CDN dropping an account that receives too many notices, etc.

Pushshift DOES NOT store any media. If there are thumbnails of you on redditsearch.io, I can remove your posts and comments but you should also contact Reddit to ask them to purge their thumbnails or any other media held in their CDN.
