I've known about semen retention for nearly a year now, unable to make it past a month. I've spent countless hours doing the research and switching between YouTube and Reddit forums to pick up information to help me on the journey. One which is incredibly difficult and takes maximum willpower.
I've realized that the small decisions lead to a relapse: first it's being mentally stimulated, then choosing to stay on that stimulus or increasing it by going to a site, then it's telling yourself "I'm just looking", next thing you know you're edging but you say "I'm not gonna release me seed though!".
It's such a slippery slope. I am on a streak again, not really counting just living, and my goal is to make it longer than I ever have before. One of my biggest conscious tools is ignoring the monkey brain.
We literally have different parts of ourselves, different voices in our head, and understanding this allows you to just observe which part is speaking and whether or not to give it any credence. I'm finally getting it! I hope this helps someone else.
