I don't know if I'm slow or something but I'm on my 10th reread of ASOIAF, and made it to AFFC. During Brienne's chapter in Duskendale when she gets her shield painted, I always heard her describe what she wants on it and where she got it from but I guess for some reason my mind didn't fully comprehend that the tree and shooting star painting from her memory of the old shield at Tarth is in fact Ser Dunk the Lunk's shield/coat of arms. I really dig that addition. But yeah I feel like I should have caught onto that after my second re-read, considering I've read the Dunk and Egg books 5 times now lol. Do any of you have something similar where it took you entirely too long to put the pieces together? Like obviously I knew Brienne was a descendant of Dunk, but just skipped over the shield thing.
Somehow I read the title as 99 percent of you haven't, and came to say I think the percentage was a little high but then read the full post

I had the aha moment at the exact same time.
I've had people argue with me online about it before too and I just roll my eyes. Her eating her fingers because of hunger makes literally no sense. When Reek talks about having tried to bite his finger off after it had been flayed but Ramsay not letting him and then in the same chapter it's brought up that Lady Hornwood ate her fingers again, I think that was GRRM finally showing us, hey I wasn't being edgy with that without explicitly spelling out what exactly had happened through a pov.
