Sophie is almost 11 months now. I can't believe it! She's a black poodle with a few white spots, and we've had her since she was 3 months old. What a whirlwind. When I look at her now, I can't believe how GIANT she is, but also mostly how sweet she is.

The first few months were a typical rollercoaster. Eating everything, ruining shoes, super sharp teeth, howling, peeing constantly, pooping in her doggy bed at night. She also wouldn't listen and was a bit of a menace to be around.

Now I am proud to say she's starting to grow up a bit!! She sleeps the whole night through, doesn't go potty inside anymore, and mostly just wants to hang out.... WITH ME!!!! I can't believe she just wants to sit next to me on the couch, curl under me when I'm behind my desk, and generally follows me around everywhere. It's SO CUTE, and she was not always like this. She knows how to relax now, how to take naps, etc.

But... not everything is perfect. She still goes nuts about squirrels, my shoulders hurt from all the leash pulling, She greets other dogs by doing high jumps in the air and trying to bolt out of her collar, and she gets so excited when she sees new people she jumps up on them.

So... there's a lot to work on still. But at least, in the home, she's doing great, and I'm excited to see how much she'll grow the next few months.

For those in the worst of it right now, it does get better, and it goes by faster than you think.
