Puppy Shedding Even When Brushed Frequently

This is my first puppy, so it might be completely normal? For some background: the shelter told me he’s a boxer mix, but I’m starting to see more pitbull in him everyday. Idt there’s anything wrong with him (like excessive shedding or anything) I’m just trying to decrease the amount of fur all over my apartment.

I adopted him around 3 months old. At 3 months, I found that he barely shed. It was great! I even told people he barely sheds because at the time, it was true! Well I’ve had him a little over a month now, and I’ve found that his shedding has increased drastically. For instance, I put a freshly washed comforter on my bed last night, and when I woke up, the entire thing was covered in his hair. (Yes, he sleeps with me. but I was amazed the amount of fur on my bed in only about 6/7 hours!)

I even brush him about every other day, but still, every time I pet him I see his hair just flying off of him. Is there any way to decrease this? Maybe a better brush or something? I wipe his fur with dog wipes, sometimes a couple times a day, because we live in the city and strangers are always petting him (even without asking, but don’t get me started).

I even got him groomed last week, which I thought the bath would help decrease the amount of shedding. But, I got him home and the same thing — I would pet him and hair would fly everywhere. Is there anything I can do or am I stuck with the constant shedding everywhere??

Thanks! I’ll try to attach pics of him and my comforter in the comments!
