My puppy is a 10 month Bichpoo. We currently living in an apartment. I’ve slowly reduced the number of pee pads in my apartment to one. (Yay 🎉). Hes housebroken, to the extent that he only uses the bathroom on the pad. Once in a blue moon, he’ll poop on the pad. But, he primarily uses the pad for peeing. He uses the bathroom outside as well.
I want to finally remove the last pee pad so that he only uses the bathroom outside. I’ve watched some YouTube videos on bell training. In many of the videos I saw online, it stated that I should introduce the bells to my dog. Only, my puppy has not shown any interest in the bells. He could care less for them. I am not sure what to do. I would like to remove the pad but because I have carpet in my apartment, I’m worried about the possible accidents since he doesn’t use the bells. Does anyone have any tips? I understand there will be occasional accidents here and there but I would like my puppy to use the bathroom completely outside.
