Should I continue to crate my 4 month old pup at night?

My german shepard/labrador/rottweiler mix will be 4 mos this week and she got crate training down pretty well. I got her at 8 weeks old and by 11 weeks she was already sleeping in her crate through the whole night.

Yesterday I forgot to take her on a walk so I let her sleep in my bed as a consolation prize. Then around 5 AM she wakes me up with low growls, a few minutes later I hear distant alarms going off in my neighborhood. Then she sits on my chest while still growling and then lays on my neck nearly choking me.

Then I hear my own garage door open so I go check it out while making my footsteps as noticeable as possible. My pup is still growling and now barking at this point. No ones in there so I close the garage door and observe the street from a window. I literally see the intruder a few minutes later walking towards my neighbor's car across the street but he notices me, stares for a moment and leaves.

I go inspect my own car on the driveway after seeing the first patrol car go by. Turns out the vandal broke my passenger window and got to my garage opener which he still has. A home a few houses down also had their garage broken into. 12 cars were broken into just this morning, and after visiting neighborhood apps, I found out at least 25 cars had been broken into just this past week.

I'm so proud of my pup for keeping me safe, and I want to graduate her from crate training. But I'm wondering if it's too early. I still do not know how well she'll do if she's free to roam the house unsupervised during the day. Or if crating during the day will now be more difficult since she'd no longer be crated at night.

TL;DR: My puppy thwarted a home invasion and saved at least one car from getting broken into. 2 crate or not 2 crate?
