My dog is turning 8 months on 8/26 and he’s driving me insane. Out of nowhere he’s just started tearing up the carpet. I try to redirect, it works for a second and he goes right back to it. He’s ripping up my comforters, pillows, everything.

I’m at my wits end. He wont eat his food, he’s just tearing everything up and I am so tired. I want to nap after a hard day and instead of being able to nap with him, he’s not even paying attention to toys or his dinner, he’s just fixated on the carpet.

He’s in his crate right now chewing up that bed too.

Where did I go wrong? I am feeling straight up defeated.

EDIT: thanks everyone for the genuine support and tips. He started doggy day care today and came home exhausted. Hasn’t been chewing anything, just asking for snuggles and my attention as usual. He ate some of his food though he still preferred mine. I’m hopeful this will help when I’m at work.
