Going to the groomer?

My 5 month old corgi puppy is a bundle of energy and rarely sits still. We've given her a bath and trimmed her nails twice before at home. I think it would be good to take her to a groomer to help her get use to the idea but the words "rarely sits still" and "doesn't like her face being handled" have been used by her vet, so I don't think it would be a positive experience for her. I don't want her to be afraid of the groomer. Has anybody else had experiences taking their pup to get their nails/teeth/SOMUCHFUR maintained?
