Seriously need help with 3 month puppy biting!!!

Post Body

Hey everyone! So 2 weeks ago I adopted a 3 month old lab/terrier mix. Week 1 I managed to get him comfortable sleeping in his crate. He never cried at night and I got him on a feeding schedule. Week one he was also doing really well on understanding bite pressure and was really gentle with me. Overall, he was pretty calm minus trying to chew on random stuff(I feel like that’s expected for puppies though).

My main issue with him is that within these past few days he’s been suddenly biting me any chance he gets. He bites pretty hard now and won’t respond to redirection or me saying OUCH anymore(word I was using to work on his bite inhibition. It worked for the first week). When he bites me he will keep going and going. He also bites at everyone’s clothes and will tug relentlessly and today he growled while biting my shorts. He won’t let go of clothing at all. My hands and arms are currently all scraped up from his teeth and I really don’t know what to do.

I’ve been watching Simpawcito on YouTube to try and apply his tips but I feel like my pup is getting really stubborn. I’ve never owned a dog before so everything I’m doing is from research I’ve done months ahead to prepare or videos I’m currently watching. I knew that chewing because of teething and other things are normal for puppies but this feels a little odd. He started off so well behaved and I don’t feel like I’ve changed anything in the routine.

I play with him before every nap, in the morning after waking up, and in the evening to tire him out for bed. I’m with him all day at home since my college semester is over and I’m on winter break. I bought him a kong and some other nylabone teething toys(even a chicken flavored ring toy) and he’s never shown much interest in them. I always try to praise him while he plays with the toys instead of other stuff but he has such a short attention span with them so they are pretty much useless as of now for redirection.

Finally, I’m meeting with a few different trainers to get quoted on obedience training and all that good stuff but my consultations are on Saturday bc they want in person and a majority of them only had the weekend available. I’m trying my best to be patient with the little guy bc at the end of the day I still love him but I really need some advice at at least make it through the week until I can get together with a trainer. I will take any suggestions and I’ll continue to research. Thanks in advance everyone! Side note..can I get some recommendations for the toy situation too?
