Starting work in 1 month. Should I put my then 15-week old pup in daycare?

Post Body

I recently got an 11-week old pudelpointer puppy. He is happy, affectionate, calm, and eager to please. I also recently got a job which starts in one month. I’ve been thinking of putting my puppy in a small neighborhood daycare that I found on Rover. She is military, lives on 6 acres, has 4 adult dogs, and she is a legit DOG TRAINER. My only concern is does my dog need this? He sleeps a lot during the day and I’ll only be at work from 8 AM to 2 PM. It doesn’t hurt, but I could absolutely save the money. On the other hand, he’ll be with a professional, will learn skills, and he’ll be tired when I pick him up. My pup is crate-trained, but he does have a schedule, and is somewhat active during this time. Should I put him in daycare or crate him? I don’t like the thought of him staying in a crate that long during the day. 😬

2 days a week would work; however, my boyfriend (whom I live with) does not believe in free-roaming or giving any extra space besides his crate. I have to be very careful with his house because my boyfriend has never had an indoor dog. My pup is otherwise well-behaved. He only has 1 to 3 accidents indoors, and that is when I don’t pay attention. He is teething, but can be told NO, and he stops chewing. The problem (for him) is he is a puppy, so he has accidents, teeths, pulls on his leash, etc. The only way I can make sure he doesn’t have accidents while I’m at work is to put him in daycare. 🤷🏻‍♀️
