I wanted the lively one that was in everyone’s business, and the breeder convinced me to go with the “calm” one.

What they thought was calmness was shyness, and her shyness has turned into anxiety that I’m not equipped to handle

I’m committed to this dog, and I’m about to spend a ridiculous amount of money working with vet behaviorists, but every time her anxiety gets the better of her I can’t help thinking that I got the wrong dog

I feel like I got duped. I don’t think it was deliberate. I legitimately think that the breeder wasn’t able to recognize the signs of shyness, but the result is the same
