Just joined this community as we just got a puppy. BF and I have had dogs before with our parents/families but this is the first one that we are completely responsible for. Anything we should know about owning a white shepherd?
We were told heās a white shepherd but then found out there is the American white shepherd, the Swiss shepherd, and other ones so now not really sure what he is specifically. Any resources for this?
Weāve started off giving him āWellnessā canned puppy food and then added goat milk on day 2 of having him. He started having diarrhea after having added goat milk for 2 days so we stopped and are hoping his stool gets hard, the milk was really tough on him when it came to pooping. Weāre thinking about switching to that Blue Buffalo Wilderness brand. Otherwise, whatās a white shepherd puppy of 6 weeks supposed to be eating? We kinda feel bad giving him canned food but arenāt sure if he should or can eat anything else. Eventually we hope his digestion is strong enough to add in some raw proteins and veggies but I donāt even know how you get them started on that. His first vet appt is in a few days so we hope to gain more insight there too
