Salutations Dog Lovers.
I come to you all with a question, one that I am sure comes up a bit frequently. If there is a recent post concerning this topic that has got some traction then please do link me to it, I will then proceed to delete this one.
I have a pup that just turned 1, he is a mix between a Siberian Husky and a Golden Retriever. Ever since I’ve gotten him he has been a weird eater. Sometimes he will not eat his food, sometimes he will eat it if I put water on it and microwave it, sometimes just wet food mixed in will do the trick. I have been through 5 brands. Found one that I am sticking with, a Chewy brand called American Journey I believe. When I first opened the bag he was all about the new food and would eat it no problem. For awhile I added some wet food because I had some, but lately the past 2-3 days he has not been interested in his food at all. I did get him to eat about a cups worth of kibble that was soaked in water yesterday, but he kept doing this thing where he’d nudge the bowl to move it while whining. I heard this means dogs aren’t hungry?
Today I’ve been doing the 10 minute rule. For breakfast I put it down for a few minutes but then picked it up and put it back down. He seemed interested, but once he realized that it was kibble he became less so.
My boy comes with me to work and sometimes gets a bunch of treats. He does still drink his water and play. So I don’t think it’s a health issue.
In closing any help, info, or even personal stories would be awesome and welcomed.
(My boy is 1. So I figure he is almost to old for me to be posting in here. Im a bit sad now lol.)
