What would you call a darker, more low tempo and heavier version of punk music?

Post Body

I have been wanting to get into punk recently but all of the bigger bands like sex pistols, ramones (etc) haven't really caught my attention. I kind of like sound of the misfits though. Are there any more punks bands some of you may know of that have a darker tone that is more prominent than misfits? My favorite band is Deftones because of their dark and slow feeling and i want to find some punk bands that have a similar feeling be keeps the same punk themes and shit. Thanks for any recommendations or what you would call the subgenre.

Boris, jd pinkus, spotlights, lingua igonta.

Uncle acid and the deadbeats latest album might be worth a try. It’s a concept album based on Italian horror movies
