So I've more or less gotten the procedure and system of the cash office down. However, I feel as though, for certain things, namely Lotto/ITVM i have only mastered the how, but not the why, and I know understanding why i'm doing something always helps me. But nobody ever truly explained it to me. So is there anybody who could clarify why exactly:
1) For ITVM I am loaning the online cash amount on the Shift report and also miscellaneous receipt'ing it 2) Picking up the unsold lotto in ITVM when it remains in the machine 3) Loaning and misc. receipt'ing the cash balance for daily online sales for the lotto at customer service desk 4) And picking up lottery redeemed for lotto at customer service desk (when that is what is being paid out for instant tickets/scratch offs? so why pick it up?)
Also, 5) what exactly does the "bottom line" mean/show? I understand it is telling us whether we are making or losing money, etc... but how so? Say its -1105...?
Honestly, a lot of this might just be my own curiosity
