My mom found out about my PTSD today, but we were having my sister's birthday party so I found upsetting that she didn't ask me anything (literally anything, she already knew what my trauma was so that's seems ok for her)but legit , than I waited and waited until now, 2:10 in the morning, I'm in the living room and she come here to drink some water and I asked her "do you care about my PTSD?" "Not at this hour, and I already now what PTSD is" "Ok but you don't want to ask me anything?" And she started to get angry "I have to work, can you let me sleep? We will talk later, let me sleep" My family is not the best, it's toxic and complex, I feel bad I mean..I just wanted a reaction but I feel like she just don't care. Edit: I asked her again at an acceptable hour ( 8 in the morning) "that's the last time I ask you: do you want to know something about my PTSD" and she replied "I know what PTSD is, what are you doing with your therapist?" "Exposure therapy, I'm working on it" End of the conversation. When she tells that "already know it" it means that she tecnically knows, she doesn't really knows and she doesn't really care.
