PTCGO Alternate Format Tournament Series: Pauper
Post Body

Reposted at mod's request

After a few days of deliberation I'm finally ready to post the rulesets and registration form, so without further ado

Sign-ups end Thursday, October 12th at 11:59 Central Standard Time

Rules:

  • Pauper format is played using only commons and uncommon cards.

Edit: after much confusion and conversation, the rule is, cards that later received a common/uncommon reprint after being printed as rare originally will not be permitted, as is the case or raichu and yveltal. Hopefully this clears things up

Expanded Format banlist and cardpool will be followed in addition to Pauper ruleset and the following:

To further improve the competitive enviroment of the format, several additional bans will also be in effect. Each ban is to make sure no one deck dominates the competition, the goal is to have as many viable decks here as possible

  • Battle Compressor

  • Durant, noble victory

  • Hypnotoxic laser

  • Crushing hammer

  • Enhanced hammer

If an agreement cannot be formed, the person who disconnected will be awarded a game loss and the match will continue as such. Overwhelming evidence of a win may result in awarding a game win, such as having an attack when the game that turn.

  • Each round will be up for 3 days, which should be enough times for entrants to set up and schedule a match. If your opponent goes over 24 hours without responding, send me a message with screen shots.

  • Entrants who miss 2 rounds without will be dropped from the event

Prizes:

  • currently I have a few packs and nice EX/GXs to give out as a reward. The final prize list Isn't set, and is subject to change, and what i put up will reflect total entrants and most likely get larger with any donations users give but as of it now it includes:

    • This is a link to the discord server for this and future tournaments I host. It's not required but definitely encouraged as it makes all communication faster and in general will make the rounds go smoother, it also provides an easier way to get in any testing before signups close. The server will be primarily focused on the tournaments i host, but everyone is welcomed to join and talk about the game
    • *discord is an "All-in-one voice and text chat for gamers that's free, secure, and works on both your desktop and phone. Stop paying for TeamSpeak servers and hassling with Skype. Simplify your life." Directly from the discord home page, available as a browser site and as a mobile/desktop app.
  • Also, I'm always looking for more TOs to help out, pm me here or on discord if you'd be interested

That's all i have. If anyone has any questions, or any suggestions to add to the op just comment or pm me.
