I would like to go back to school to become a licensed therapist. Therapy has been invaluable in my journey of healing and self-discovery, and I would like to help others experience what I have. I'm eager to start this journey, but I find myself stuck right at the beginning. I know I need to go back to school, but I could use some guidance to help make the best decision.
I want to work with adults. Do I need a Master's?
Edit: Thank you to everyone who has left constructive answers. Truthfully, I'm pretty disheartened by some of the other comments, though. I never would have thought asking for some simple clarification would inspire people to assume I'm incompetent. Go figure I would need some help figuring something out that's completely new to me. I suppose in their eyes I should quit now. Did you join this field to help people or to feel superior? And if you really think you're helping me by giving me some harsh truth, you're not helping, and you should probably reflect on how you communicate with others.
