I’m a 38 female and going to college was never pressed in my household growing up. For the past 10 years, I have been wanting to go to school but have not had the money to go. I still don’t but I’m no longer putting it off. Is 38 too old to start college? My goal is to become a psychologist and then a psychiatrist. My guess is I’ll finish a doctorate program by 50. Is 50 too old to be a psychiatrist? Is mid forties too old to become a psychologist? I’ll figure out a way to pay for school but wondering if this is too old to pursue at my stage in life.
Thanks in advance.
I'm 39 and just NOW finished my masters degree. SNHU has the cheapest accredited online degrees I could find. I chipped away at this ONE class at a time for a decade, but you could totally do it faster.
My grandma started her nursing degree at 44.
My other grandma didn't get her driver's license till she was 48.
It's NEVER too late.

Pretty easy overall. Most have discussions where you initially post before Thurs and reply to two before Sunday. Then there's some essays that they generally give a paragraph by paragraph syllabus to.
I likely would have learned more in person, but for an online degree it was very straight forward.
