Hey so when I ask for what the education requirements are for counseling I often get told that these vary by state. My problem is that even looking at the issue from a state-level it is completely unclear. They aren't specific or clear about what the education requirements are (other than it being CACREP accredited, usually), and as someone who will be getting their education in Asia, I'm not sure how I can ensure I'll meet their education requirements.
For equivalency the only thing that exists are NACES and the like, and they only get you an evaluation AFTER you've actually done your degree. I don't want to finish my degree to find out it was a waste years later just because I can't get an evaluation done until then.
Is there seriously no way to confirm (or even just get an idea?) if my university course will be ok or not by US standards? Seriously didn't expect such a gaping hole in the US system tbh.
